About

As a speck of dust in the universe, my existence must not matter that much to you. You have never heard of me or spoken to me. My face is among the billions that crowd your planet. Like I must not know you, it is imperative that we shall remain mutually anonymous.

Being mutually anonymous, however, does not mean ignoring each other’s presence. Being members of the human race has never stopped people from saying hi on trains or arching an eyebrow upon meeting another pair of friendly arched eyebrows.

Since it’s my turn to say something, and I can be friendly, this is the part where we do some small talk. I’m going to be almost 31 32 34. I teach at a regular Malaysian school. Wife and kid, the works. I try to love my job, be true to myself, never desert my family, provide for my loved ones, be courteous but resolute, always signal before changing lanes, chew with my mouth closed, worship God, exercise, trim my pubes, have great sex, teach the word ‘elbow’ to my daughter. Like I said, the works.

You like music? Me too. I am an admirer (but never a connoisseur) of works by Neil Young, Johnny Cash, Elton John, Sheryll Crow, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, 80’s to mid-90’s M. Nasir, early Search, The Police but not Sting, U2, Francesca Peters, Khadijah Ibrahim, Metallica, Hijrah, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Dayang Nurfaezah, Minority, Syafinaz Selamat, Finley Quaye, Jaclyn Victor, Carburetor Dung, Richard Ashcroft, Led Zeppelin, Starsailor, Coldplay, Dull Entertainment Programme, Suede, The Smiths, The Misfits, Sex Pistols, Bad Religion, NOFX, Green Day, Blink 182, Massive Attack, Portishead, Radiohead, some Autechere, Cypress Hill, A Tribe Called Quest, Run DMC, Tone Loc.

I’ve watched and enjoyed Lake House, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the first 3 Star Wars, Weeds, Monty Python, Black Adder, Opah, Santan Berlada, The Professional, Taxi Driver, The Usual Suspects, The Big Lebowski, Pulp Fiction, Combat, High Chapperal, Hunter, Cagney and Lacey, The Fall Guy, Cheers, Family Ties, Weeds, The Shawshank Redemption, Truman Show, The Truth About Cats and Dogs, Riding In Cars With Boys, Monalisa Smiles, Sumpah Semerah Padi, Project A, God of Cookery, Shaolin Soccer, (you guessed it) the works.

I like to read and sometimes I play the guitar. I have opinions but not always ready to share them. I am a Muslim by birth and probably will be for life. I enjoy a few pints now and then and always smile with Husin and I am smiling now as I write this sentence and think about you.

I blog here because I blog here.

You come here because you come here.

Signed,

Izzat

  10. Hi there,

My name is Kevin. I hope you will take some time to read my recommendation.

I want you to go to this site http://www.secretsaya.com – it’s a new web application that is made in Malaysia which allow users to reveal their secrets in a form of an artwork (inclusive of photography, image editing, illustrations and others), voice recitation (inclusive of any interpretation of using voice) and writing (in the forms of random thoughts, poem, haiku fiction or anything else). Users are advised to use a ‘secret’ username if they don’t want to be known in the community – and users are free to reveal as many secrets as they want each day. Each secret they revealed are then shared with the community in which they would be rated and commented. (taken from their site)

Their current market they’re targeting now in which I found out when emailing the SecretSaya’s team is MySpace users, those who are into Art movements like Bangkit and Rantai. While they might seem like a good target niche, but seriously they are not! Simply because they’re the MySpace niche. They aren’t web niche like us, bloggers, flickers and such. SecretSaya needs to divert their target audience – it needs broad and wider coverage – and I felt like helping them out since I believe this site can be really useful in the future, we can finally have our very own Malaysian made YouTube, DeviantArt.. to name a few.

So I hope, and I hope you guys out there can help out – help SecretSaya expand, help them be exposed to the right niche. Blog about them. Tag them. Spread the news to your friends. Lets help a Malaysian made web app!

    sincerely yours,
    Kevin

    Hello,

    Question about your Blog

I am writing in the hopes of opening up a communication channel with your blog (if you are interested).
We are a blog and website that is frequently writing about topics that are beer and spirits related (usually from a label perspective).

We are always looking for interesting content/posts to mention and link to on our blog and website. As such, if you post something you feel is very unique/interesting on your blog, please let me know via return email.
We are happy to give it a mention on our blog and send a link to it your way.

We are serious about quality content and I think that our content generation is creative and high quality (ie. we don’t blogspam).
Here is a link to something that we did recently that has generated a lot of interested:
